| About Our Puppies |
Here at Kinderwood Kennels, health, temperament, and soundness are of out-most importance to us. We strive
for quality rather than quantity. This is the reason we may or may not have but one or two litters a year and will
be very selective in our breedings.
Everything will be done to assure that our puppies will live a long, happy, healthy life. All of our breeding stock will
not only hold acceptable registry (such as AKC, UKC, IABCA, etc.) titles, but be fully tested for major genetic
aliments that affect the Labrador Retriever breed such as Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, Progressive Retinal Atrophy
(PRA), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), and Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC).
We also will only breed Labradors with the best temperaments. We will not breed hyperactive (i.e. "hot",
"extremely driven", etc.) dogs because we feel their temperament is inappropriate both as a working dog and as a
family companion. However, hyperactivity is not to be confused with natural drive. Our dogs have plenty of the
latter and are fully suited to upper level performance events.
All of our puppies will be delivered with first vaccinations and deworm, vet check, permanent identification,
registration materials, our 26 month health guarantee, and a puppy kit (which includes a free bag of food as well as
informational materials).
